Objectives :

PRINCE2® (PRoject IN Controlled Environments) is a project management method designed to ensure that a project meet its objectives (within constraints of cost, time and quality) and that it delivers stated benefits.

The method is widely used by many of the UK’s leading private and public sector organizations. It is now also used worldwide in a large variety of businesses and organizations.

The PRINCE2 certification is an exam-based qualification composed of two levels :
Foundation and Practitioner.

This intensive PRINCE2 Practitioner 3 day course is designed to enable you to gain a solid experience of the aplication and use of the PRINCE2 project management approach.

By the end of this 3 day course you will be able to :

• Know or comment on detailed explanations of all processes, themes and techniques, and worked examples of all PRINCE2 management products as they might be applied to address the particular circumstances of a given project scenario
• Understand the relationships between principles, themes, processes and PRINCE2 management products and that you can apply this knowledge in the context of  a real project,
• Understand the reasons behind the PRINCE2 principles, themes, processes and techniques,
• Tailor (adapt) PRINCE2 to different project environments.
• Pass the PRINCE2 Practitioner examination

To achieve this the course will use accelerated learning techniques which create a fun, interactive and interesting training environment. There will be a combination of slide presentations, individual and group practical exercises which are designed to prepare you well and maximize your success at the PRINCE2 Practitioner examination.

The format of the PRINCE2 practitioner exam is an 2,5 hours open book (only the OGC PRINCE2 Manual is allowed) exam based on a case study and it is the format is Objective Testing which is a a style of 9 complex multiple choice questions.

To sit the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam you must have succesfully passed the PRINCE2 Foundation exam.

This PRINCE2 Practitioner course can be followed by all staff involved in projects and who needs a better understanding of PRINCE2 that requires a formal qualification in this methodology. (2,5 hour open book multiple choice, closed book Foundation examination)

Prerequisites

Ideally you will have some project management experience either managing or working on a project, although this is not essential.

You will have successfully passed the PRINCE2 Foundation examination.

You will also need to complete the pre-course material provided prior to attending the course (8-10 hours).

Bare also in mind that there will also be some evening work (2-4 hours) required.

Your trainer

The trainer is an approved PRINCE2 trainer (by the APMG) who has the practical experience of applying the method in any circumstance, any kind of organization.
